The Connection Between Paraquat© and Parkinson’s

American Scientist magazine quotes the following statistics:
- A 2004 study showed the rates of Parkinson’s are two to four time higher in the rural areas than in other parts of the state
- A 1998 study revealed the risk of developing the disease was 170 times greater for agricultural workers than non-agricultural
- According to a 2017 study, rural areas of France have higher rates of Parkinson’s than urban areas2
